Massage for Guitarists

Published: Oct 6, 2017  |   Category: Philosophy, Guitarist's Health

Folks,
As you know, I am constantly seeking  ways, anything to make a difference in our guitar playing.
I have found that very few massage therapists understand well the guitar player 's muscular apparatus,
but Carie Oberting is one of them. She is a musician of the body

Carie can be found and booked on line @ Inman Oasis in Inman Square, a very nice friendly place.
 (say hi from me)

Beside being a non symmetrical activity, playing guitar, for most of us, is a sitting down situation, another
not-so-good-for-the-body activity. ( Remember to switch position, legs crossed, uncrossed, high stool, chair)
While you will see the immediate result of Carie's magic on your chord-passing, & your general sound.
(For singers, rib-cage all around, diaphragm (?)  throat, neck all around,  jaws, cheeks, tongue (?) digrastic muscles)
You will reset your muscles to avoid tension build up. (remember flow & effortlessness)
The risk of possible injury diminishes greatly, &  your practice will be more enjoyable for longer periods.

Lastly, your general health and well being will smile with you.

So I cannot help but recommend that you treat yourself and book Carie.
She is truly " musician of the body ".

Chears,
Bertrand
